Welcome to BCFWA!![]() The British Columbia Farm Writers' Association (BCFWA) serves the common interests of agricultural journalists - reporters, editors and broadcasters, as well as those in business, government and academia - whose primary responsibility is agricultural communications.
Our members are as diverse as BC's agriculture sector. We serve our members by providing professional development opportunities, and strengthening the network of our professional community. As a group we share the common goal - to share the story of agriculture in BC and beyond. The BCFWA along with regional farm writer organizations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Eastern Canada form the Canadian Farm Writers' Federation. BCFWA members also belong to the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists. During COVID-19, we're all struggling to find new ways to do what we've done before. So, while farm tours are out, we're still getting together. Here is a shot of our recent "masked" social on Zoom. If you'd like to take part in the next one, let us know at bcfarmwriter[at]gmail.com. Stay safe! |
